Other Fees

Semester Exams

All family accounts must be current in order for students in grades 6-12 to take semester exams. If the family’s account is not current, the student will not be allowed to take exams. Payments are due the 10th of the month, and we accept variety payment methods: ie,cash, cashier’s check, credit cards and website payments.

Testing

The cost of either one ACT or one SAT is included in the entrance fee charged for academy juniors and seniors. Students are responsible to pay the actual cost of any additional ACT, SAT, PSAT or AP tests.

Text Books

The school entrance fee covers textbook rental for students in grades PS-8. Classroom teachers will distribute textbooks to each student. For grades 6-8, a $75.00 fine will be charged for each non-returnable book. Grades 9-12 textbooks are available at the academy bookstore at a cost of approximately $150-$300 per year. Textbooks may be sold back to the school at the end of the school year. The school reserves the right to refuse books when a supply maximum has been reached, a textbook has become obsolete, the condition of the textbook is deemed irreparable, or for any other reason.

Graduation Costs

MHA will provide diplomas, honor pins and recognition cords for graduating seniors. Either the class trust funds or the students must pay all other expenses. Transcripts or diplomas will be issued only when the student’s account is clear.

Before and After School Charges

Elementary students who arrive prior to 7:30 AM will be charged $3.00/day for supervision. If an elementary child is not picked up within 15 minutes after school dismisses, they will be placed in After School Care and charged. After School Care charges are $3.50/hour. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed for every 15 minutes past the normal closing time. Charges start 15 minutes after school dismissal.
