Peer Mentoring
Mile High Academy’s Peer Ministry mission statement is simply Who Will Be Jesus (W.W.B.J.). The goal of this program is to challenge students with “hands-on” opportunities to discover Christ’s love for them and share it with others, in the end creating an incredibly spiritual environment to grow in.
The vision to reach this goal is based on the biblical view of Luke 10:27 of Loving God, Loving One Another & Loving Yourself. This is known as the Tri-Fecta Factor. Students learn to develop this vision through four paths:
- Peer Mediation – Solving conflict biblically by becoming a peacemaker.
- Peer Counseling – Equipping students with Christ-centered skills for serving others.
- Peer Mentoring – Making one-on-one connections with elementary students.
- Peer Facilitation – Leading small groups in order to create a Christian-based community.
When you know your worth in Christ, and you invest time in helping others find their worth, YOU LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL AND MIND!
