Membership in the Mile High Academy National Honor Society is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Eligible students in grades 11 and 12 with a cumulative GPA of 3.66 or higher are considered for selection.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Grade Level: Students in grades 11 and 12 are eligible.
  • Attendance: Satisfactory attendance records are required.
  • Scholarship: A cumulative GPA of 3.66 or higher is necessary.
  • Service: Voluntary contributions to the school, church, or community, showcasing a positive and enthusiastic spirit.
  • Leadership: Demonstrating resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and a proactive role in promoting school activities and community involvement.
  • Character: Upholding principles of morality, ethics, honesty, reliability, respect, and a clean lifestyle.

To apply for membership, students must complete an application highlighting their accomplishments in the above areas and provide a letter of recommendation from someone outside the school community. The application deadline is March 1.

Once applications are received, the MHA faculty carefully considers each applicant and votes on inductees.

Membership in the National Honor Society enhances a student’s prospects for awards and scholarships when applying to college.
